What the application processes locally, what network requests still happen, and what is remembered between visits.
Your files and text
Photos, filenames, recognition results, edits and generated documents are processed in your browser. The application has no document upload endpoint, account database or cloud OCR fallback. User document text is displayed as text, not executed as HTML.
Temporary document storage
Documents remain in page memory. They are not deliberately written to localStorage, IndexedDB, analytics or remote error logs. Closing, refreshing or clearing the task can lose unsaved work. Your browser controls downloads and its own memory management.
Public resource requests
Opening the website downloads HTML, JavaScript, CSS and other public resources. OCR models, Worker/WASM files and PDF fonts are loaded as needed. The hosting provider may process IP addresses, request times and normal access logs; local file processing does not mean there are no network requests.
What is remembered
The application stores only your chosen interface language in localStorage under ptd-language. Public OCR language resources may be cached by the browser. These cached resources contain no selected photos or recognized document text.
Statistics on public pages
Browser-based visitor analytics is not enabled. Public pages and the document tool do not load Cloudflare Web Analytics. We do not use cookies or localStorage for analytics. Photos, filenames, OCR text, edits and generated document contents are not sent to an analytics service. The language preference and ordinary hosting requests described above still apply.
Advertising and other services
Advertising is disabled in this version. No session recording or remote error reporting service is installed. The processing tool is a separate page without third-party ad scripts. Future advertising on public pages requires updated disclosures and applicable consent arrangements.
Your controls
Use Clear all to release the current task's files and text. Use your browser settings to remove the language preference and cached public resources. The application does not claim that clearing a task securely wipes device memory.
